Reading Rainbow

A Book Distribution Drive by IQRA Dwij Foundation

Imagine a world where every child holds the power of imagination, curiosity, and knowledge simply by opening a book.

For many of us, books shaped our childhoods fueling imagination, expanding horizons, and nurturing a lifelong love for learning. Unfortunately, millions of children across the globe are still deprived of this fundamental right.

This is where the IQRA Dwij Foundation steps in. Driven by a single-minded mission to bridge the literacy gap, the Foundation works relentlessly to make reading accessible to children, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

On July 30th, the Foundation launched its ambitious initiative, “Reading Rainbow: A Book Distribution Drive”. The goal is simple yet powerful put a book in the hands of every child from underprivileged communities.

Rooted in the belief that education is a basic right, this initiative recognizes the crucial role reading plays in cognitive development, language skills, and knowledge acquisition. Each book becomes a spark igniting curiosity and paving the way toward a brighter future.

Children reading books
“A single book can open doors to infinite worlds and endless possibilities.”

The Book Distribution Drive focuses on children aged 3–16, providing age-appropriate books carefully selected by educators and child development experts. From colorful picture books to complex literary works, each selection is tailored to nurture growth at every stage.

Working alongside local communities, schools, and volunteers, the Foundation ensures books reach children who need them the most. These books are not one-time gifts they form the beginning of a personal library, encouraging a lifelong reading habit.

Beyond distribution, IQRA Dwij Foundation also hosts reading camps, workshops, group reading sessions, storytelling events, and author interactions—fostering an inclusive and joyful reading culture.

In these spaces, children discover that books are more than academic tools. They are gateways to creativity, belonging, and change helping nurture confidence, imagination, and hope.
